Right from the start, Jerome was warmly welcomed by the Discover Church worship team. There was an instant connection around music gear and slowly he began experiencing what we always say around here:
“Strangers become friends and friends become family”
Jerome was welcomed into Carrie’s small group where he not only gained insights into the Bible but also saw a strong, godly marriage modeled for him. As Jerome got to know the Worship and Production team more, he was struck by their humility, passion and servant-heartedness. He officially joined the worship team and found belonging and purpose in God’s calling on his life.
When the opportunity came to help launch the Liberty campus, Jerome and Carrie both jumped at it! The combination of their servant hearts and knowledge of production and leading worship came just at the right time to be used for a great purpose! They are both serving weekly at Liberty creating an opportunity for the community of Liberty to come and experience the same level of belonging and purpose!
God is already doing a great work at Discover Church Liberty as He is using Jerome, Carrie and dozens of others to minister in the Liberty community. DC Liberty is already fully furnished. Now, you can help us see it be fully funded! Sunday, May 5th is our ABOVE & BEYOND Sunday where we are asking everyone who calls Discover Church their home to bring a financial gift above their normal giving. Our one day giving goal that day is $65,000 so we can pay for all launch expenses in cash!
