THE BRIDGE IS HEADED TO CAMP!

July 7-11, our students will be headed to Student Life Rec Camp in NW Arkansas! This is such an incredible opportunity for our soon-to-be 6th graders through current seniors in high school.

What is Rec Camp like?

Rec Camp includes engaging worship from experienced worship leaders, learning through sound Biblical teaching and Bible study, community in Life Groups, and fun at recreation.

How much will camp cost?

The cost is $450 and all money is due on June 23rd.

What is included in the cost?

The cost includes travel to camp, meals, lodging, a camp T-shirt, Bible study material, and all Student Life programming.

Is fundraising available?

YES! We will never let money be the reason someone doesn’t go to camp. We recommend students working to raise funds for their way to camp in the following ways:

  • babysitting, landscaping, and simply saving money until final registration money is due.
  • writing a letter/document/text and sending it to different family members asking them for donations.

Chick-Fil-A Fundraiser:

  • Monday March 31, 2025 from 5-8pm “Spirit Night”
  • 10% of what Chick-fil-A makes will be donated to us to be used for camp scholarships
  • We would love for you to sign up to help run spirit night. This means that you would be assigned a time to take food to tables and thank people for supporting your trip to camp! Registration to help is limited so sign-up ASAP!
What to Pack

Here is a general packing list

Cash for one lunch on the trip down and the trip back

Any dry snack items for the bus and during the week

Water bottle

Games to play during free time

Medication:

  1. OTC medicine is okay to bring. Please let me know if you do not allow me to give your student Tylenol or Ibuprofen if they ask for it at camp.
  2. Prescription Meds are also okay to bring, but they will need to stay with their small group leader this week so other students do not mess with them.

For simplicity’s sake, our clothing policy is “no belly buttons” and no “short-short” shorts.

Camp Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones are allowed, but at certain times. It is our general posture (for students and leaders) to discourage cell phones and encourage building relationships. With that, there are three “zones” for phone usage.

  1. Green: Phones are fully allowed on the bus when students go to sleep, wake up, and during free time in the afternoon.
  2. Yellow: Phones are permitted to be with the student if they want, but are strongly discouraged from being on them during meals
  3. Red: Phones are not allowed during big or small group time, and during group activities.
Arrival and departure information

Please arrive in front of the church office (8400 NW 107th Terrace, Kansas City, MO. 64153) on Monday, July 7th between 8-8:20 AM. The bus will depart at 9 AM.

We should arrive back in Kansas City (Lord Willing) between 4:00-5:00 PM on Friday, July 11th
