MEET ERIKA
Erika officially joined the Discover Church team in July 2023, but her journey in ministry started as an awkward 17-year-old with a passion for Jesus, and not much else! Always feeling like a bit of an “outlier” with her unique wiring and personality, it was in her local church that she was able to outwork her God-given giftings. In over a decade of ministry, she’s been able to use her gifts as a Girls’ Ministry Director, Conference Speaker, and now as the Dream Team Director here on the team at Discover.
Erika is passionate about helping people discover their purpose in God’s calling on their lives and then, as Ephesians 2:10 says, “walk in it." Erika’s hope is to help equip the church as ministers, both inside the walls of Discover Church and beyond, in their spaces and places of influence.
It is this passion that drives Erika in her leadership of Discover Church’s volunteer groups, known as Dream Teams. She helps coordinate with all the Dream Team leaders to ensure that they have everything required to make Sunday (and the rest of the week) happen.
